RateCrossover is a free, browser-based calculator that helps you decide whether to pay off debt or invest. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
All calculations run entirely in your web browser. The numbers you enter into the calculator are never sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any financial account information.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate site traffic such as page views, visit duration, and referral sources. GA4 may place cookies in your browser to distinguish unique visitors. GA4 uses cookies named _ga and _gid to distinguish visitors. These cookies expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively. You can decline analytics cookies via the consent banner on your first visit.
We also store a single cookie to remember your consent preference so the banner does not reappear. This cookie contains only the word "accepted" or "declined" and no personal information.

Affiliate links
This site contains affiliate links to financial products. If you click an affiliate link and open an account, the partner company may pay us a referral fee. We do not share any of your personal data with affiliate partners. The partner company's own privacy policy governs any information you provide to them directly.
Clicking an affiliate link may cause the partner company to place a tracking cookie in your browser to attribute the referral.
Third-party services
We use Google Fonts to serve the Inter and IBM Plex Mono typefaces. When your browser loads the page, it makes a request to Google's font servers. Google's use of data from this request is governed by the Google Privacy Policy .
Your privacy choices (California residents)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Because we do not collect personal information beyond anonymous analytics data, there is no personal data to sell. California residents have the right to request disclosure of what data a business collects; in our case, the answer is none beyond aggregate analytics.

Data deletion requests
Because we do not store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to delete. If you wish to remove the consent cookie from your browser, you can clear your browser's cookies for this site at any time.

This site is not directed at anyone under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

If we make material changes, the updated date at the top will reflect them. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated policy.
